Questions women ask before they come
These are Dr. Richa's own answers, from videos where she answered questions women had sent in.
Will I be judged for coming in unmarried?
“I don’t judge. I understand. … I can vouch for myself at least that I will not judge just because on moral high grounds. That’s not something I’m here for. I’m here to help people.”
Do I have to tell her if I've had sex?
“And also, I don’t care if you’re sexually active, that does not make any difference to me. It’s important to protect you from the STDs and the unwanted pregnancy. If you’re having sex you need to tell me so that I can guide you how to be safe while at it.”
Will she do an internal exam?
“I will do an internal exam if it’s required. It could be if you are having any problems.”
Will it be written on the prescription?
“If you don’t want, I won’t write it. It’s fine.”
Is she the right doctor for someone young and unmarried?
“I think I’m pretty good for unmarried young girls. Sure, even for old women. Anyone can come to me.”
